WalkAbout: Denver Co - Snooze

I was recently in Denver CO for 28 hrs ( I know… short trip right? ) for the premiere screening of a TV Show I filmed last year….. and I managed to squeeze in a quick brunch to a fantastic place called SNOOZE (Park Ave & Larimer)

My friends live in Denver and had nothing but wonderful things to say about this place and all its incredible brunch options.

Then menu is really eclectic with everything from Huevos Ranchos and Breakfast Tacos, to a Breakfast Pot Pie with homemade rosemary sausage gravy, 4 kinds of Hollandaise eggs dishes and then 5…. yes you read correctly 5 types of pancakes.

We decided to order the Pancake Flight for the table which is a great way to taste test 3 choices from their menu.
Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes : Caramelized pineapple chunks with house made vanilla crème anglaise and cinnamon butter.
Red Velvet buttermilk pancakes, with a touch of cream cheese frosting, praline syrup and chopped pecans.
Sweet Potato Pancakes- Their signature sweet potato buttermilk pancakes topped with homemade caramel, pecans and ginger butter.

They pancakes were all flavorful and delicious but the red velvet by FAR was my favorite. I felt the Sweet Potato pancakes ginger butter was a little too sweet for me…..
The pineapple had great caramelization and a little tart/sweet flavor combo which I liked too.
The Cream Cheese on the red velvet was to die for. Like everything you love in a cupcake in great pancake form. Rich red velvet pancakes and then the nuts and cream cheese HELLOOOO!

I also tried the Spiced Chai instead of a coffee and it was fantastic. Layers of cinnamon and cardamom with steamed milk. Totally satisfying on a chilly Denver morning.

For my egg dish I took the advice of our waitress and ordered a half and half benedict. So I could try more than just one of their varieties of eggs with hollandaise -
I did half a Spring Garden Benny with a ragout of spinach, asparagus, leeks and wild mushrooms over toasted ciabatta and truffled white bean spread. Topped with perfect poachers and cream cheese holly.
And a half Bella! Bella! Benny - with thin slices of prosciutto, Taleggio cheese, and perfectly poached eggs on toasted ciabatta, topped with cream cheese hollandaise, balsamic glaze and arugula.

I loved the earthy wild mushrooms and a faint fragrance of truffle from the white bean spread and I could taste the rich cream cheese in the hollandaise.
The Bella Bella was quite different with tangy balsamic spiking the creamy sauce. The prosciutto added some great salt and balanced well with the Teleggio.

I would come back here for breakfast/brunch again and again if I lived here. The menu has so many incredible choices and they also are constantly adding new additions.
The staff were informative, really friendly and had great energy!
