I have recently been spending more time in Brooklyn and I am always so shocked by how many amazing restaurants I walk by. There is never enough time to get to them all but I am at least trying to make a regular trip to Brooklyn to eat.
Yesterday Kit and I wanted to have lunch so we decided ( through the help of my friends @SkeeterNYC and @divathatateny ) that we would try Fatty ‘Cue (91 S 6th St, Btwn Berry St & Bedford Ave )
Their lunch menu has a Prix-Fixe for $19 but we decided to share a few things instead.
Heritage Pork Ribs smoked palm syrup, indonesian long pepper.
The pork ribs were smoking, sticky and had a nice lingering heat to them. The smoked chili oil on the side was delicious to dip them in and also the sticky rice balanced the heat and fat, acting as a cleanser.
Smoked Brisket Sandwich chili jam, aioli, pickled red onion, house smoked cheddar cheese.
I had about two bites of this before Kit inhaled it. Delicious shredded brisket which soaked through the bread.
Bowl Of Noodles meat juices, scallion, chili.
This was a surprising dish. I initially thought it looked a little plain and was slightly dissappointed that I had ordered it. But as soon as I had mixed the noodles through the ‘meat juice’ broth at the bottom of the bowl and added a little of the Sriracha, the noodles were actually FULL of flavor.
Chili, ginger, scallion and a nice rich meaty broth.
We finished the entire bowl!
I would love to come back here for dinner and try out their whole fish and other tasty treats like Red Curry Duck!
