Red Hot Noodles @ Shanghai Mong
I decided to walk 3.5 miles from the East Village to Midtown West yesterday for a beer and on my journey stopped in Korea Town on 32nd St for some lunch.
I found Shanghai Mong (30 W 32nd St Btwn Bway & 5th Ave) after looking at many of the menus listed in the Korean Restaurant windows.
Shanghai Mong promised a fusion of Chines and Korean, so I thought I would try something different.

WalkAbout: Brisbane : Gambaros Seafood Restaurant
I had an idea for my dinner in Brisbane. Seeeeeeeeeeeafood baby. And this homesick Aussie wants a seafood platter…. so I hit up the old Google search and found quite a few options. Although it wasn’t around when I...

My last 36 hours of Australian fun were spent in Sydney and I had the pleasure of being hosted by wonderful friends Dave and Goldie who live in Bronte.
Seeking a strong coffee and something brunchie, Dave led me to one of their favorite spots to have breakfast.
Three Blue Ducks (143 macpherson street, Bronte, Australia) was opened in an old chicken shop by Tetsuya chef Mark LaBrooy, Sam Reid...

WalkAbout : Grunske's by the River - Bundaberg...
Bundaberg is my hometown and in the 11 years I have been living abroad, there have been many restaurants come and go.
While I was in Brisbane last week, I got word from a friend of a new seafood spot that had opened right on the Burnett River in Bundaberg. Grunske’s by the River
(11e Petersen Street ) is in a part of town I never thought would be a great position for a restaurant....

Walkabout: Brisbane : Little Malaysia - West End
When I knew I was travelling back to Australia for a visit, I automatically thought about all the wonderful food I would be eating.
Australia has an incredible food scene and I found Little Malaysia ( 156 Boundary Street ) through a couple of food bloggers in Brisbane.
I wanted a place that served authentic and delicious food but was relaxed and could be a great spot for me to invite a bunch of...
